Tilly was found on the road covered in ants beside her dead mum. She was successfully nursed back to health. It was noticed that her right leg had the toe curved inwards. We first thought it was the result of the accident, but this was ruled out after x-rays. We also discovered that her pouch was smaller than a normal joey’s.

Although she had physical abnormalities she had a great personality. We didn’t know if she would be able to hop later, so she was operated on and a pin was placed into the leg to straighten the toe.

To this day she is an important part of the mob and is now pregnant with her first baby.
